The distribution exercise ended on the eve of Christmas with 15 persons receiving their share of goodies. In November medical supplies along with disposable diapers were given to 15 shut-ins.Mrs. McDonald-Fraser explained that funding for the 2009 charity drive was made possible through the Medicine Chest and her family members.“This is really the Medicine Chest’s way of saying thanks for the patronage but business is not always as good as we expect it to be. There were some challenges hence my siblings and other relatives all contributed to making our charitable trust a success. Using this method we would now be able to help even more persons.”In February 2010, one primary school child each in Demerara and Berbice would receive funding for a pair of spectacles.
