She said that the defendant was a handy man who worked with the family.The woman said that Stewart came to her last December and told that he was being thrown out by his landlord and needed a place to stay.She said at the time that family had a vacant house in Guyhoc. The woman said to her surprise and embarrassment, Stewart brought the police to her home the following day accusing her of stealing the articles, which he had claimed someone else stole.She said that this move really angered her and she immediately reported the matter. Stewart subsequently admitted the theft to the police.He is expected to make another court appearance on July 1.
