Therefore, if there is a case that requires urgent x-ray the patient is referred to the GPHC.He added that the limited human resources capacity is also as a result of technical staff leaving the public health system after being trained and serving contract time. They opt either for the private health system or leave the country.Dr. Singh revealed that to ease the burden on GPHC and to reinforce the purpose of regional health facilities the Ministry commenced withdrawing some medical cases and sending them to the Regions.He noted that within the past two months 60 cases including surgery for hernia were taken from GPHC and sent to the Regions for medical attention.
