Police Prosecutor, Denise Griffith, indicated to the court that some of the articles were recovered.The complainant, Bibi Sanchara, who was present in court yesterday, said that Persaud and the juvenile were her employees.She added that on the morning of May 27 she saw a hole in the wall which she presumed that they made the day before. According to the woman, when she confronted them, they denied any involvement.Sanchara also said that a few days ago she got word that the stolen chainsaw was at McDoom and as such she sent a taxi driver to buy it.She added that Cox was the person selling the chainsaw and he took a taxi and went to her claiming that he wanted to ‘handle his business himself.’According to her, she turned him over to the police. It was at this point that he implicated the other two defendants.Subsequently, Sanchara added, the defendants took the police to the places where they sold the stolen articles and they managed to get them back.She noted that the only items that were not recovered are a CPU, the router and the $26,000 cash, but that their parents promised to make restitution.Persaud then told the Magistrate that they did not have the money to pay right away but that they would work and pay her back.Magistrate Robertson-Ogle then told them that they have the pay back all the money just as they took all the items. Persaud told her that they did not break into the place and steal anything.The Magistrate then informed them that she would refuse bail and give them some time to get the money.The matter was adjourned to June 10.
