Post mortem examinations conducted on the bodies of the ten miners killed in the Mowasi mining pit collapse have revealed that they died of asphyxiation and multiple blunt force trauma about the body.This means that the miners would have suffocated and been battered by the mass of dirt and rock descending upon them.
