Quite a few of these persons were seen making their way to and from the various polling places.A visit to some of the polling stations on the Mackenzie shore around midmorning saw a steady stream of people going and coming but no unprecedented buildup.The remote communities like Sibierien, Coomacka and Three Friends Mines saw voters going out early to cast their ballots.Voting in Sibierien, a small community on the outskirts of Mackenzie, was expected to finish early, as residents began turning up at the polling station as early as 6:00am.When this newspaper visited a few citizens could be observed relaxing on a log after casting their ballots.The same peace and tranquility prevailed at the Coomacka Primary school, with residents going and coming quietly.At the polling station at three Friends Mines, there was hardly any movement of persons, but polling agents could be observed quietly going about their business.Uniformed security personnel stood guard at all the locations, and advised the media against taking photographs within the confines.There were 116 polling places in Region Ten, with 24,060 eligible voters.
