The Georgetown Mayor and City Council, (M&CC) will be moving to take control of a number of vacant lots across the city, especially if these have become environmental hazards.The first exercise has been conducted on Main Street, Cummingsburg,Air Max 97 Undefeated Uk, Georgetown.Kaieteur News understands that the decision to seize empty lots was taken after the Council observed that there are a number of unattended spaces in different wards of Georgetown.According to information disseminated by M&CC’s Public Relations Department, the unattended areas have become eye sores. In some cases, residents have converted these lots to communal dump sites.
